The List: A Right Fiction Podcast

Favorite Cover/Tribute Albums with Ed Tettemer (Musician, Ad Executive, People Connector)

Episode Summary

Tribute or Cover albums occupy an interesting place in the world of music. The artists making the albums aren’t necessarily creating new works of art, they are interpreting the creations of other artists. As an interpretation of someone else’s work, what is the value that we place on this? Does it hold up to the praise or disparagement of the original work? Does it need to? Or shall we judge it on its own merits without considering the original? We don’t have the answers to these questions, but on today’s show we’re gonna explore various perspectives on this topic of Favorite Tribute or Cover albums to see where it's true value lies. And, to help us out on this topic today we’ve brought in a true expert when it comes to examining perception and perspectives.
